NJDOE Career and Technical Education Veterinary Technician #2511 Certification Required

 

EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 School Year 

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey Career & Technical Education Veterinary Technician #2511 (CE, Provisional, or Standard); 
• Demonstrated knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards in subject specialty and effective teaching methods;
• Demonstrated knowledge of Animal Health, Animal Sciences, and Animal Handling;
• Ability to conduct/facilitate inquiry-based laboratory investigations;
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment; 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

REPORTS TO: Principal

 

 

SALARY RANGE: $68,060 - 95,660

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month position

 

 

BENEFITS: In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription, and dental insurance, as well as paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
