Career & Technical Education Teacher

EFFECTIVE: 2024-2025 School Year 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey Career & Technical Education Education Natural Resources Systems Certification #2508 or Horticulture #2510 (CE, Provisional, Standard) or hold a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following subject areas or hold an Associate's Degree in one of the following subject areas with related Employment Experience:
• Environmental Studies & Sustainability,
• Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency,
• Sustainability Studies,
• Conservative Biology,
• Marine-related Sciences,
• Water Resource Management,
• Horticulture,
• Landscape Management,
• Landscape Architecture,
• Greenhouse Operation,
• Plant and Soil Science,
• Fruit and Vegetable Production,
• Plant Science; 
• Demonstrated knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards in subject specialty and effective teaching methods;
• Knowledge of hydroponics and green practices;
• Ability to conduct/facilitate inquiry-based laboratory investigations regarding environmental sustainability;
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment; 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

REPORTS TO: Principal

SALARY: As per salary guide

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month position
