Career Technical Education Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse
• Appropriate experience in a clinical area of nursing
• Current licensure as a professional nurse (BSN) in the State of New Jersey 

REPORTS TO: Principal/Designated Administrator

SUPERVISES: Pupils, and when assigned, student teachers and classroom aides.

JOB GOALS:

• Assists teachers in the implementation of educational activities and coordination of clinical schedules.
• Assists teachers in the preparation of group demonstrations, and other resources for lesson delivery.
• Assists teachers in the evaluation of student activities.
• Assists teachers in laboratory management.
• Assists in the monitoring of students during school and rotation activities.
• Provides the teachers with information regarding individual student’s needs.
• Maintains pertinent records relating to specific job responsibilities as required.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.
• Helps by monitoring students to various curriculum related sites and field excursions.
• Performs related duties and assignments as determined on the basis of need in the total instructional program.
• With the Health Occupations, Pre-Nursing and Medical Office Assistant instructors assistance, plans assignments for students according to their individual needs.
• Assists instructors with students in the clinical area, correlating the theory with planned learning experiences.
• Assists with orientation and guidance program of students.
